We regularly route through Northern California, the foothill communities, Central Valley farm regions, and rural properties outside major metro areas. If you're unsure whether you're within our route, submit a request form, and we’ll confirm availability for your specific location.
California visits typically take place between early April and mid May, depending on regional climate and route logistics. Warmer inland areas may fall earlier in the schedule, while foothill and higher-elevation properties may be routed later.
California’s long dry seasons and rising summer temperatures make timing critical. We schedule our routes in late spring to ensure your alpacas are shorn and herd health is handled before peak heat and heavy fly pressure set in.
Not if you select Better Health, The Works, or Spa. Those packages include vaccinations and deworming in addition to shearing, teeth, and toenails. Basic Shearing covers trims only.
Early booking is strongly recommended. California routes fill quickly, especially in rural regions where travel time between farms is greater. January 1st–31st is the ideal time to secure your spot and get the Early Bird Pricing.
Yes. Many of our California clients have herds of around five alpacas. We also work with larger farms and offer custom pricing for herds of 10 alpacas or more.
California weather can shift quickly, and wildfire season is always a consideration. If conditions are unsafe or routes need adjustment, we communicate promptly and reschedule within the planned routing window. Your herd’s safety always comes first.
Yes. We follow strict biosecurity protocols and thoroughly clean and disinfect equipment between stops to protect every herd we serve.
